Albion defender Connor Goldson has undergone successful surgery on his heart condition.
Goldson wrote in a tweet to his followers: "Operation successful. Road to recovery is underway."
The tweet was accompanied by an image from his hospital bed of Goldson's name-tagged arm.
Team-mate Beram Kayal was quick to respond to the update from Goldson.
Kayal replied: "Good news my brother. Wish you a speedy recovery. Can't wait to see you back."
Goldson, 24, was ruled out for the rest of the season in February after routine screening revealed a defect.
Boss Chris Hughton told The Argus earlier this month he is looking forward to having Goldson back for pre-season training."
