Albion fielded three of the top five oldest line-ups in the Championship this season.
It served them well to have an average age of 29.8 in crucial away wins during the promotion run-in at Wolves and QPR.
Less so 29.7 in the March defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Relegated Wigan led the list on 30.1 in a home defeat by Derby.
The top flight experience of the likes of Bruno, Uwe Huenemeier, Glenn Murray and manager Chris Hughton will be vital for Albion in the Premier League next season.
It will also be important to have a fair degree of athleticism, fleet-footed vitality and penetration to cope with the step up.
Getting the age balance right will be one of the many challenges Hughton faces.
