Albion winger Jamie Murphy has been asked to take the Albion feelgood factor north of the border.

Murphy has been selected in an initial Scotland squad to face England next month.

The group will be trimmed from 29 to 23 ahead of the Hampden showdown.

Scotland boss Gordon Strachan said: “We like to pick players who are feeling good about themselves although obviously that can’t be the case with all of them.

“They bring that positivity to the squad.”

Attacking players Matt Ritchie, Oliver Burke and Jordan Rhodes are among notable absentees due to injury or lack of game time.
