BRUNO is confident he can cope with the high-flyers of the Premier League.

Albion’s 36-year-old captain will be tackling an array of talented wide men in the top flight.

The experienced right-back is ready for the challenge after leading the Seagulls to promotion.

Spaniard Bruno told The Argus: “A few wingers that I played against in the Championship have gone on to the Premier League and done just as well.

“Antonio, for example. I was marking him when he was at Nottingham Forest and now he’s at West Ham doing unbelievably well.

“You can see that the differences are not that massive. Of course, I am going to mark some excellent players and wingers that are quick and clever.

“Plus they are going to be playing with better central midfielders that are going to give them better balls, but it’s about us and what you can give to the team.”

Bruno, set to reach 200 league appearances for Albion this season, skippers the side in their latest friendly at Norwich today (3pm).

Albion are no longer in the running for Joe Gomez as cover and competition, The Argus understands.

They had been interested in borrowing the versatile young Liverpool defender.
