Albion boss Chris Hughton is confident of suitable loan moves for three more of his fringe players.

Midfielders Rohan Ince and Richie Towell, together with winger Kazenga LuaLua, have been earmarked for temporary exits since the start of pre-season.

Oliver Norwood completed a season-long loan move last week to Fulham, where Ince previously had a spell.

Ince, Towell and LuaLua are still Albion players for now, although none of them were involved in Saturday’s friendly draw at Norwich.

Hughton said: “It was more important that they got a good training session with the under-23s than come, not play and have to do some running afterwards.

“I am confident all three will go but they are good individuals, they train very well.

“They’ve trained with us, so it’s no harm having them around, but certainly for their futures it’s very much better for them to be going out on loan.”

Albion’s remaining two friendlies, against Girona in Spain tomorrow night and Atletico Madrid at the Amex on Sunday, maintain the pattern of increasingly tough fixtures in preparation for Manchester City’s opening Premier League visit on August 12.

“The opposition almost doesn’t come any tougher than Atletico in the last game,” Hughton said. “Girona, like ourselves, have got promotion (to La Liga), so that again will be a tough one away from home.”
