Albion have added another Dutchman to their ranks.

They have signed left-winger Soufyan Ahannach from Eerste Divisie side Almere City for an undisclosed fee until 2020.

The 21-year-old falls into the same bracket as Czech defender Ales Mateju and Norwegian midfielder Mathias Normann.

They have been identified as potential first team prospects in advance of development squad level.

Manager Chris Hughton said of Ahannach: "He's a young player with a lot of talent and good potential.

"He's has done very well playing senior football in Holland in recent seasons and we look forward to seeing more of what Soufyan is capable of over the coming weeks and months."

Ahannach helped Almere reach the Dutch second-tier play-offs last season, scoring 18 goals and providing 15 assists in 42 appearances.

He has found the net 32 times in 97 outings overall since joining them in 2012.

Albion signed first team midfielder Davy Propper from PSV Eindhoven on Monday for around £10 million.
