Club Brugge have thanked Jose Izquierdo for his efforts – after his work permit to play for Albion was granted.
A statement on the Belgian club’s website this afternoon wished the the wideman all the best with the Seagulls.
The statement read: “Today the work permit of José Izquierdo was approved. The transfer of the Golden Shoe (winner) to Premier League team Brighton and Hove Albion can therefore be finalised.”
It added: "We thank José for his performance at (our) club and wish him all the best in the Premier League.”
Albion confirmed that the FA has granted a work permit (Governing Body Endorsement) for Izquierdo. The club will now seek international clearance for the Colombian international.
