ALBION are set to be without Izzy Brown until after the first international break of the season.

Loan signing Brown is back at Chelsea for the time being following the hamstring injury he suffered in last Saturday’s opening Premier League defeat at home to Manchester City.

He has been ruled out of tomorrow’s trip to Leicester, which is followed by a Carabao Cup tie against Barnet at the Amex on Tuesday and a visit to Watford four days later.

The internationals take over after that and Albion do not play again for a fortnight, when West Brom head south.

Hughton said: “We’re hoping to have him back here next week and we’re hoping it’s not so bad. It is a hamstring but we’re hoping it’s not too severe and we’re hoping he’ll be back possibly next week but that will be to continue his rehab.

“They (Chelsea) will assess him and say how long that is going to be.”

Brown, forced off midway through the first half of his debut against City, has branded the injury a “minor setback” and vowed to make a “major comeback”.

Hughton has also confirmed new record signing Jose Izquierdo will not be involved against Leicester after Albion secured a work permit for the Colombian left-winger on Wednesday.

“We’re thoroughly looking forward to him getting amongst the team,” Hughton said. “He hasn’t been able to train with the team yet so it is a little bit too soon.

“We’re looking forward to him joining them probably after the weekend.”

Leicester, shock champions two seasons ago, launched their campaign under new boss Craig Shakespeare with a 4-3 defeat at Arsenal, despite leading twice.

Hughton said: “They are a side that, of course, won the title the season before, which shows the quality they’ve got.

“And even though it was an indifferent season by their standards last season, they are still a quality side with quality players.

“They have recruited again this summer. Whether they will recruit again before the window closes I don’t know but they are a very good level of club and we’ll have to make sure to be very prepared for that. And, of course, it’s our first away game in this division.”
