Albion's home supporters will have to wait until next month for their first look at record signing Jose Izquierdo.
The Colombian winger will not feature in tomorrow night's Carabao Cup tie against Barnet after all.
The Seagulls are still awaiting international clearance and manager Chris Hughton wants Izquierdo to concentrate on training ahead of Saturday's Premier League trip to Watford.
The 25-year-old had to train alone while Albion secured a work permit and visa.
Anthony Knockaert is expected to start against Barnet for the first time since the end of last season after ankle ligament damage disrupted his pre-season.
Hughton has also confirmed to The Argus that 21-year-old summer back-up signings Ales Mateju and Soufyan Ahannach will be in a much-changed matchday squad.
Albion's next home game after Barnet's visit is against West Brom on September 9.
