Spurs striker Vincent Janssen has blanked out his deadline day dalliance with Albion after hitting the ground running in Turkey.
A last-ditch deal for the Dutch marksman to join international team-mate Davy Propper permanently at the Amex at the end of the transfer window was agreed with Tottenham - but Janssen turned Albion down.
He rejected them and West Brom and is now on loan with Turkish giants Fenebahce.
The 23-year-old won a penalty, then scored in a 2-1 win against Besiktas in last week's Istanbul derby.
He told reporters afterwards: "I could have joined West Brom or Brighton.
"What would had happened had I joined one of them? I do not want to think about it."
Janssen will link up with Propper next week for Holland's World Cup qualifiers in Belarus on Saturday and at home to Sweden three days later.
