Albion midfielder Beram Kayal will leave it to manager Chris Hughton to decide when he is ready for his Premier League debut after a cracking goal on his comeback last night.

The Israeli midfielder equalised nine minutes into his return from nine weeks out with injury for the under-23s against ten-man Blackburn Rovers in a 2-2 draw at the Amex.

Kayal, sidelined by a broken leg since the closing pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid in August, scored a cracker from 20 yards before a pre-planned departure after an hour.

Striker Sam Baldock, missing since the end of last season following summer calf surgery, also played for 60 minutes.

Kayal, now fully recovered from the EIGHTH op of his career, told The Argus: "I feel good. I'm happy to be back. It's been a hard nine weeks.

"The leg feels very good. I'm feeling healthy and it's game by game now. My fitness is improving all the time.

"I need to train well and it depends on the gaffer, when he sees it's the right time to pick me.

"If I work hard in training, then I think the opportunity will come."
