Paul Pogba tuned up to take on Albion with another run-out tonight.

The influential midfielder came through 65 minutes of Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat at FC Basel in the Champions League.

It was his second appearance since returning ahead of time from a hamstring injury which ruled him out for two months.

He scored in a 70-minute outing at home to Newcastle United last Saturday.

Marcos Rojo blocks a shot on his return from injury

United boss Jose Mourinho made seven changes in Switzerland to the side which beat Toon after trailing.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic went on as substitute for the closing stages and Nemanja Matic, who had started 15 of the previous 17 games, took over from Pogba.

Ashley Young, Juan Mata and Antonio Valencia were among the players rested.

Marcos Rojo returned from seven months out with a knee injury and was one of United’s better players.

But Michael Lang’s 89th-minute winner means they have still not clinched their place in the knockout stages.
