Albion's leading marksman Glenn Murray will be walking a disciplinary tightrope against his old club Crystal Palace tomorrow night.

And so will key central defender Shane Duffy.

Both are a booking away from one-match bans after their fourth cautions of the season for fouls against Manchester United.

Murray and Duffy will have to avoid yellow cards up to and including the home game against Watford on December 23 to escape - but manager Chris Hughton is not too concerned.

He has Tomer Hemed to deputise for Murray and Connor Goldson to stand-in for Duffy.

Hughton said: “What you don’t want to do is take that competitiveness out of their game and with that comes a risk of bookings and suspensions.

“You don’t want silly ones for dissent. If it’s about competing, making challenges, then you always have to accept that will happen.”

Hughton made his first change in five games at Old Trafford, recalling Solly March on the left-wing at the expense of record signing Jose Izquierdo.

He said: “Solly, in the way we play particularly away from home, is that little bit better drilled than Jose. I thought if we could stay in the game then Jose might be able to capitalise on some spaces later on.”
