GLENN MURRAY praised a Mathew Ryan wonder save as derby night ended goalless.

And he said the 0-0 draw with bottom side Crystal Palace might yet be a useful result for the Seagulls.

Ryan denied Christian Benteke and Wilfred Zaha in the first half.

Then Murray went closest for Albion when his late header was cleared off the line.

Murray said of Ryan’s stop: “It was a great save.

“That was the one time they got in behind us.

“He came to our rescue as he always does.

“I don’t think anything really fell in the box for either team.

“It’s a point gained. Even though Palace aren’t doing as well as they should be in the table they are dangerous opposition.

“I think they are only going to improve so it’s quite a good point.”
