CHRIS HUGHTON will make changes at Wembley tonight.

But the Albion boss is not planning wholesale alterations to his starting XI for the Premier League clash with Spurs.

Hughton wants a response from his men to successive disappointments against Huddersfield and Liverpool.

Anthony Knockaert, Tomer Hemed, Gaetan Bong and one of the left-wing duo of Jose Izquierdo and Solly March would appear to be candidates to return.

There is also the option of handing Beram Kayal a first Premier League start.

Hughton, whose side host Burnley on Saturday, said: “When you talk about wholesale changes, five or six, generally I don’t do that.

“I don’t see myself doing it for this game.

“But I do see myself making some changes.

“It is a very difficult week of three very difficult games.”

Hughton’s team selection came under fire from some fans after Albion went down 2-0 at Huddersfield.

Now he looks to contain a Spurs side who thrashed Stoke 5-1 on Saturday while also offering some sort of threat.

He said: “That is probably the toughest part of the job, trying to get the balance right.

“If you make changes and play well or get a result, it’s the right decision.

“If you don’t, it’s the wrong decision.

“I’m just trying to get that right balance.”
