Albion have their full "package" back for today's test at Newcastle.

Pascal Gross was rested to the bench for the Boxing Day defeat at Chelsea.

The influential German number ten is expected to return to the starting line-up at St James' Park.

Gross has four goals and five assists after scoring the decider in the last home game against Watford.

He also provided the free-kick which led to Tomer Hemed's winner against Newcastle at the Amex in September.

Manager Chris Hughton revealed to The Argus: "We are always telling Pascal, because he strikes a strong ball with both feet, to get more shots in on target.

"Sometimes you will get a little bit of a deflection, sometimes it will be more difficult for the goalkeeper. If you don't take those opportunities then you've got no chance of scoring.

"We knew with Pascal before he came here the contribution he gives to the team. He is capable of assists and goals and arguably he could score more goals but with Pascal it's the package, not only what he gives the team offensively but also defensively.

"We are not a team that can afford to have players that are not prepared to work for the team."
