Albion under-23s winger Soufyan Ahannach has been lined up for a loan return to Holland with top flight strugglers Sparta Rotterdam.

The Dutchman joined the Seagulls from second tier Almere City in the summer for an undisclosed fee until 2020 after 18 goals and 15 assists in 42 appearances.

The 22-year-old had two outings for Albion earlier in the season in the Football League Trophy.

Meanwhile, the Seagulls have been keeping tabs on Edwin Gyasi but have not made a move for Aalesund's Dutch-born Ghana international winger.

Gyasi, 26, has been linked with Albion's FA Cup fourth round hosts Middlesbrough and several other Championship clubs.
