Connor Goldson says Coventry gave Albion a tough game after the defender's goal helped the Seagulls through to tonight's FA Cup quarter-final draw.
Goldson nodded the second from a Markus Suttner corner in the Seagulls' 3-1 win at the Amex, his first goal since the club announced a year ago a heart condition that required surgery.
Jurgen Locadia opened the scoring on his debut and Leo Ulloa headed his first goal since returning from Leicester before Jordan Clarke-Harris slotted Coventry's consolation.
Goldson said: "It was a tough game. We said before the game we're going to have to be on it. We had to set the tempo.
"We've been the underdog a few times and I think Coventry should be proud of themselves, they had a good go.
"We'll now take it game by game and see how far we go in the FA Cup. We'll see who we get in the draw to tonight and see if we can get to Wembley."
