Swansea central defender Alfie Mawson has come through an injury scare and could now feature against Albion at the Amex on Saturday.

Mawson's knee locked during the warm-up before the 0-0 draw at Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup fifth round at the weekend.

Swansea said in a statement: "After seeing a specialist and undergoing an MRI scan, the influential defender is set to rejoin his team-mates on the training ground ahead of the Brighton clash."

The statement added that Mawson, who has helped the Welshmen to 14 points out of 21 under Carlos Carvalhal to climb off the foot of the Premier League table, has a "good chance" of being available to face the Seagulls.
