Chris Hughton has turned his attention to two “huge” home games after FA Cup exit at Old Trafford.

The Seagulls host Leicester and Huddersfield after the international break.

They go into the lay-off the back of two very different 2-0 defeats, at Everton in the Premier League and Manchester United in the cup quarter-finals.

Albion were backed by United boss Jose Mourinho to stay up last night.

Hughton said: “If he feels that, it is probably based on two performances here where we have lost both games but we have come out of them with a lot of credit from the performances.

“But we will need that.

“The same way as people wanted a reaction from United, we wanted a reaction from our side.

“We were poor at Everton and we had been in good form.

“We will need that form going into that last group of games.

“After the international break we have two home games which have become two huge games for us.”
