Leicester boss Claude Puel admitted his side’s win at the Amex was not a fair result.
But he believed Kasper Schemichel’s penalty save from Glenn Murray was the turning point.
Goals from Vicente Iborra and Jamie Vardy handed the Foxes a smash-and-grab 2-0 success.
Puel was not happy with his side’s first-half display in particular.
He said: “Perhaps it was not a fair result today but it was important for us.
“The penalty save from Kasper changed the situation.
“In the mind of my players this save changes our mentality and our desire to win this game.
“The opposite for the other team. It was difficult for them.
“For all the game we deserve another result but for once we can take this result with pleasure.”
Puel felt his midfidlder Wilfred Ndidi was unfortunate to see red for a second bookable offence with his side 1-0 up.
He added: “It’s not a foul. He touched the ball, the ball changed direction.”
