FORMER Albion transfer target Alex Pritchard wants to end Huddersfield’s goal famine at the Amex.

The relegation-threatened Yorkshiremen’s run of games without scoring in the Premier League stretched to four matches in their 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.

Pritchard is looking for Saturday’s trip to the Amex to be a turning point.

He said: “It will be what it will be – as long as you work hard and you keep going you’ve always got a chance. We just have to carry on. We have to go there with the same mentality and hopefully we do get a couple.

“We had one from the corner (at Newcastle) which was a header that got blocked and one at the end.

“Had we put that in it would have been 1-1 and no one really talks about the chances.”

Pritchard snubbed Albion for Norwich two summers ago in an 11th hour U-turn. The ex-Spurs attacking midfielder was booked, subbed and taunted by Seagulls supporters when Norwich were thrashed 5-0 at the Amex a few months later.

He gained a measure of revenge in the return meeting with shots which led to two own goals by ex-Albion keeper David Stockdale towards the end of last season, which helped deny the Seagulls the Championship title.

Pritchard scored in Huddersfield’s 4-1 home win against Bournemouth in February, their only victory in his eight appearances since joining them from Norwich in January
