Albion loan keeper Christian Walton has set his sights on winning League One after helping Wigan back to the Championship with his 20th clean sheet of the season.
A 4-0 win at Fleetwood today, combined with a 1-1 draw for Shrewsbury at home to Bury, sent the Latics up again to the second tier.
They need a maximum of seven points from their last three games, beginning at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday, to be crowned champions.
Walton told the Wigan Post: "At the start of the season, we set out to be champions of League One – and we're on track to do that.
"You obviously can’t win every game in this league. But the way we've been keeping going is tremendous, a real credit to all the lads.
"Even when you're not playing well, you can always dig in and make sure you keep a clean sheet.
"And that's what we’ve been able to do on a number of occasions this season.
"If you can't win a game, you have to make sure you don't lose it, and that's been a big part of our success so far."
