ALBION are on the verge of Premier League safety.

Pascal Gross has urged them to “finish the job” – and they could at Burnley on Saturday.

Chris Hughton’s side will guarantee survival if they win at Turf Moor and Southampton lose at home to Bournemouth.

They moved a step closer to safety yesterday when Burnley, heading for Europa League qualification, held next-to-bottom Stoke to a 1-1 draw at the Bet365 Stadium.

Former Seagull Ashley Barnes did his old club and those immediately below a favour with Burnley’s second-half equaliser.

Rock-bottom West Brom cannot catch Albion and Stoke need a miracle now as well to beat the drop.

Albion will be keen to improve their prospects at Burnley before a challenging end to the season against the top three.

Their final home game is against FA Cup finalists Manchester United on May 4.

They visit champions Manchester City on May 9 and finish at Champions League semi-finalists Liverpool on May 13.

Player of the Season Gross told The Argus: “It’s massive.

“We see the Premier League table and it looks good, but in this league everybody has a chance in every game.

“We still have tough fixtures, so we have to concentrate and focus on the rest of the season and hope that we can stay up.

“It looks good at the moment, but we still have to do it, finish the job.”
