ALBION are unlikely to face Romelu Lukaku as manager Chris Hughton ponders his midfield set-up for the visit of Manchester United.

Lukaku limped out of United’s 2-1 win against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday with an ankle injury.

Jose Mourinho’s side come to the Amex on Friday night and he is not sure if the Belgian marksman will be fit for the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley 15 days later.

Mourinho said: “I don’t know if he is going to be out or if he’s not okay. He wants to play all the time. He is never tired and, when he has small things, he doesn’t care. He still wants to go. So, for him to say immediately, to change him, it is because he couldn’t play.”

Lukaku has scored 27 goals in all competitions this season, including one against Albion in their FA Cup quarter-final exit at Old Trafford in March.

Hughton has Davy Propper available again following a three-match suspension.

The Dutchman and Dale Stephens have been Hughton’s first-choice midfield partnership all season, but Beram Kayal has performed well in Propper’s absence.

Propper and Stephens have only played together for 74 minutes since the victory over Arsenal in early March, since the latter also missed three games due to a hamstring injury.

Beating United would secure Premier League safety for the Seagulls.

A draw or even defeat could be enough if the results are favourable on Saturday in matches involving Swansea at Bournemouth and Southampton at Everton.
