Albion defender Uwe Huenemeier is heading back to Paderborn on a two-year deal.

The German centre-back has agreed to join the second tier Bundesliga club when his current deal at the Amex expires this summer.

Huenemeier helped Paderborn to the top tier in his first stint at the club and they want to bring him back to add experience to a young side.

They had slipped back to the third division but have secured promotion this term.

Paderborn sporting director Markus Krösche said: “He will be very valuable for the new team after our return to this league.”
