Solly March has publicly apologised for a gesture which appeared live on television.
The Albion star jokingly showed a single finger to friends in the crowd as he applauded fans following the 4-0 defeat at Anfield today.
March did not realise he was being shown in close-up by a TV camera as he did so.
The quietly-spoken winger from Hailsham quickly took to Twitter to explain and apologise.
He wrote: “I wanted to apologise for gesture I made, It was a silly thing to do. It was aimed at my mates in the crowd as they were telling me to hurry up as I have to make a flight to go to my wedding! Thanks to the fans for the amazing support throughout the season!”
