Johanna Konta is out of Eastbourne.
The British No.1 was beaten 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 by top seed and world No.2 Caroline Wozniacki at Devonshire Park today.
Konta looked on course for a fourth appearance in succession in the quarter-finals of her home town tournament when she took the first set with some clean hitting.
She lost her way in the second set and Wozniacki (below) got the better of three successive breaks of serve in the middle of the decider to battle her way through to the last eight and a clash against French eighth seed Ashleigh Barty.
Konta, a semi-finalist at Wimbledon last year, has been seeded 22 this year, the same as her world ranking.
