Germany are out of the World Cup, but at least they have an Eastbourne champion to celebrate.

Well, kind of.

Mischa Zverev won the men's title at the Nature Valley International at Eastbourne today.

The world No.30 serve-volleyer beat Slovakian world No.94 Lukas Lacko (below) 6-4, 6-4.

The Argus: Zverev, who knocked Andy Murray out of the Australian Open last year, was actually born in Moscow and lives in Monte Carlo.

He is a potential third round opponent for Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon next week.
