Albion have confirmed Ales Mateju's exit to Italian side Brescia.
The Czech right-back has joined the Serie B outfit, initially on a season-long loan.
The move is then expected to become permanent.
The Argus revealed Mateju's impending departure earlier this month.
The 22-year-old was a regular in the promoted under-23s last season after arriving from Viktoria Pilzen but made only two senior appearances as a substitute in the Carabao Cup.
Under-23s coach Simon Rusk said: "This is a good move for Ales, and an exciting step in his career.
"Moving to Italy will allow him to experience a different kind of football at first team level and will help him to develop as a player.
"He was part of the success we achieved last season and this move is a reward for his contribution."
