Albion suffered an injury worry in the first half of their opening pre-season friendly in Switzerland today.
Glenn Murray, last season's top scorer, had to be replaced after 34 minutes as the Seagulls trailed 1-0 to St Gallen at the interval.
Murray received treatment for what appeared to be a right ankle injury.
He tried to play on but was replaced by Swedish youngster Viktor Gyokeres.
Albion fell behind a minute before the break when Nassim Ben Khalifa headed in a cross at the far post from Yannis Tafer.
Bernardo, the Seagulls' new Brazilian signing playing at right-back, was booked for a foul.
Minor injuries ruled out two more of the new signings, Florin Andone and Jason Steele.
Albion (first half): Walton; Bernardo, White, Dunk, Bong; Gross, Stephens, Kayal, March; Baldock, Murray (Gyokeres 34).
Albion (second half): Walton; Schelotto, Bruno, Barclay, Suttner; Knockaert, Propper, Norwood, Gyokeres; Hemed, Locadia. Subs: Kettu, Skalak, Towell.
