ALBION’S home and away kits for their second season in the Premier League have been unveiled.

Lewis Dunk, Pascal Gross and other Seagulls stars have been promoting the new jerseys after returning from a training camp in Austria.

Nike is still the manufacturer, and the home strip has been tweaked with the stripes being much wider than before.

The yellow has also been taken away from the neck area and the Nike tick, which is now red.

And the yellow away kit that Albion donned last year has been replaced with a green top to be paired with white shorts and black socks.

Boss Chris Hughton will be hoping the change in colours will lead to a change in fortunes on the road after 12 defeats and just two wins away from the Amex last season. Fans will have to wait until Friday to see what jersey goalkeeper Maty Ryan will be wearing between the sticks.

Lifelong Seagulls supporter Max Huggett, from Brighton, was excited by the release of the kits as the new season beckons, with Albion kicking off away at Watford on August 11.

The 29-year-old said: “The away kit is quite different – it looks like the old goalkeeper’s kit. It’s not my favourite, but I could see why people would like it.

"They have changed the home quite a lot, and it’s a bit more simple. I really like it.”

After the club making a handful of signings, including Nigeria World Cup centre-back Leon Balogun, Max believes the Seagulls are in good stead as they prepare for their second campaign in the top flight.

He added: “I think we should do well – we have signed some decent players to complement what we already have.”

The new kits sported by Dunk and women’s player Ini Umotong are available for pre-order now.

Adult’s home and away shirts are £50 each, and £20 for shorts. For youth sizes, shirts are £40 and shorts £18. Children’s kits are £40, and infants’ £35.

The club will announce on Friday when the kits will be on sale in the club store.
