Albion are weighing up loan moves for their younger players – including Jordan Maguire-Drew.

The winger from Crawley scored a brilliant free-kick for the under-23s at Bognor on Tuesday.

He has spent the last two seasons on loan – at Dagenham, Lincoln and Coventry – and Albion have to decide whether he will go out again.

Development squad boss Simon Rusk said: “It was a lovely free-kick. We all know Jordan has that individual talent and was nice to see him scoring that goal for Brighton.

“Naturally when you go out on loan you have a greater understanding of being accountable as part of a team.

“It’s more notable his level of maturity off the pitch than on it.

“Jordan has worked hard. There have been some challenging loan moves.

“He has gone into sides who have got a lot of momentum at Coventry and Lincoln.

“I am sure he will take a lot from that.

“There are conversations to be had on who may or may not go out and lots of different reasons for each individual.

“At the moment it’s about making sure the players are individually in the best condition to start the season.”
