Hull will have to raise the stakes if they want to sign Albion midfielder Oliver Norwood.
The Seagulls have rejected the Championship club's latest bid for the Northern Ireland international.
The Argus understands Norwood is keen to make the move, but Hull's new offer is not close to Albion's valuation.
Albion rejected a combined bid earlier this month from Hull for Norwood and Czech winger Jiri Skalak, who is on the verge of joining Millwall.
Meanwhile, Albion's No.3 goalkeeper last season Niki Maenpaa is reportedly poised to join Bristol City after a successful trial.
