Albion talisman Glenn Murray was the best value striker in the Premier League last season.

According to research by betting giants Ladbrokes, Murray topped the table ahead of England stars Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford, who visits the Amex with Manchester United on Sunday.

Murray beat former Albion team-mate Ashley Barnes into second place.

Ladbrokes based the list on salary data, goals scored and average time on the pitch.

Murray has the lowest cost per goal of any striker at £97,500 and scored, on average, every 138 minutes.

The Argus: The cost per goal for Burnley's Barnes (above) was £108,333 and he hit the net, on average, every 236 minutes.

Rashford came third (£111,428.57 and every 258 minutes).

Tottenham's World Cup golden boot winner Kane could only manage fifth behind Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin with a cost per goal of £130,000.

Everton fared badly, despite Calvert-Lewin's high ranking.

Team-mate Yannick Bolasie had the second-highest cost per goals (£3.9 million), behind only Leicester's and Newcastle's (on loan) Islam Slimani (£4.16 million).
