Albion stunned Manchester United at the Amex yesterday for the second time in three months.
How did the players perform? Andy Naylor and Brian Owen deliver their verdicts.
MATHEW RYAN 7: Great powers of concentration with fine, diving deflection from Pogba bender 15 minutes from time. Nothing to do previously, which made the save all the better.
MARTIN MONTOYA 7: Excellent debut. Composed in defence, comfortable in possession. One miscued clearance to Shaw in second half could have caused a problem.
SHANE DUFFY 8: Solid defending, typified by early block from Martial shot. Took his first Premier League goal extremely well, both control and shot. Only blot conceding last-gasp penalty.
LEWIS DUNK 6: Shame for the stand-in skipper. Hurt right ankle when losing possession to Lukaku. Has not missed a league match for 18 months but that will change now.
GAETAN BONG 7: Preferred to Bernardo after the young Brazilian's torrid debut at Watford. Defensively dependable as ever.
ANTHONY KNOCKAERT 7: He loves facing United (below centre). Was an attacking livewire and a terrier going back the other way. Great to see.
DAVY PROPPER 8: The sponsors' choice for man of the match and there were plenty of candidates. Did a lot of the less obvious stuff and is good on the ball.
DALE STEPHENS 7: Flung himself at a Martial shot on one of the more dangerous first-half United raids and relished his battle with Pogba.
SOLLY MARCH 8: Much improved. Sent over the low cross for the opener and was good without the ball as Young attacked.
PASCAL GROSS 7: Stood up to the task of driving home the penalty winner but, strangely, this was not one of his best games. Which bodes well.
GLENN MURRAY 9: A brilliant example of the centre-forward’s art. Held up the ball, linked up play, harried defenders and produced a clever finish.

LEON BALOGUN 7: Sent into the firing line and produced a notable defensive display under plenty of pressure.
BERAM KAYAL: Sent on to look to see it through.
JURGEN LOCADIA: A brief outing which allowed Murray his standing ovation.
