Albion boss Chris Hughton has missed out on the Premier League manager of the month award for October.
The Seagulls were the only side with a 100 per cent record via a hat-trick of clean sheet wins over West Ham, Newcastle and Wolves.
Hughton faced competition for the Barclays-sponsored prize from Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Maurizio Sarri (Chelsea) and Eddie Howe (Bournemouth).
The award went to Howe after Bournemouth took 10 points from 12, beat Watford and Fulham away from home convincingly, and scored nine goals and conceded one.
A Premier League panel, including the likes of Jamie Carragher, Rio Ferdinand and Mark Schwarzer, were responsible for 90 per cent of the vote. The other ten per cent was contributed by a public poll.
