Beram Kayal is back in action with Albion - and in some style.

The Israel midfielder played the first half of an impressive 4-1 win for the under-23s at Derby County today.

Kayal was involved in two goals as the Seagulls came from behind to lead 3-1 at half-time.

Peter Gwargis was on target twice and Teddy Jenks added the third.

Taylor Richards scored in the second half after his initial penalty, conceded by Ikechi Anya, was saved.

Kayal saw his loan stint at Charlton ended by a groin injury and has been recovering back with his parent club.

He is part of the Premier League squad named by Albion for the second half of the season.

Kayal and Andrew Crofts formed an experienced midfield pairing while Jason Steele played as an over-age player in goal.

Albion: Steele; A.Davies, O’Hora, Roberts, Cochrane; Yapi (Spong 71), Crofts, Kayal (Tolaj 46), Jenks, J.Davies; Gwargis (Richards 66)
