Albion have been urged to give the critics something new to talk about – and secure a timely first win of 2020.
The Seagulls look for a first success in two months when Crystal Palace visit the Amex today (12.30pm).
Head coach Graham Potter has been constantly reminded that his side remain winless since beating Bournemouth on December 28.
They are the only team in the top four divisions yet to enjoy a victory this year.
Potter said: “We can’t control what has happened in the past, I can just focus on the players now.
“Focus on the game. Look at this as an opportunity.
“It is an opportunity to come through one of those sticky moments.
“If we win, all of a sudden you’ve come through a tough patch, results-wise.
“The players are level-headed and they understand that, if you don’t win over a period of time, you are going to get that type of stat, that type of feedback, that type of criticism.
“You have to understand that is fair and normal and the challenge is to overcome it.
“Try and win and then it goes away for a bit and there is another story, another thing to talk about.”
