Andi Zeqiri says Graham Potter’s playing style helped convince him to sign for Albion.

The Swiss Kosovan striker has completed a four-year deal and hopes to be part of the Seagulls’ squad at Everton on Saturday.

He was previously at Lausanne and had attracted interest from Parma as well as in France.

The French-speaking frontman said today: “I’m very happy to be here. I know it’s a very big club. I hope to do great things here and I hope l soon be on the pitch.

“Brighton are a good team. I’ve seen them play a few times, especially against (Manchester) United which was really good and I could really see myself as part of that. I hope we can do some things this season.”

Potter has told Zeqiri all about his way of playing - and the striker liked what he heard.

He said: “I know he puts faith in young players. He has a good way of playing, which I like.

“I know they often have the ball. They have a lot of possession and I had the opportunity to see what the coach was proposing to me in terms of playing system and it is honestly something that really convinced me.

“I hope to do great things with him.”

Zeqiri said he can operate in various attacking positions and enjoys playing with his back to goal.
