Albion head coach Graham Potter hailed his sides performance in their goalless draw against Chelsea as ‘amazing’.
It was the Seagulls first point in the league at Stamford Bridge, having lost on their previous five visits.
However, they could have taken all three points back to Sussex with them after Adam Lallana went close and Danny Welbeck was denied the post.
But Potter was full of praise for his sides display against a Chelsea side which had only lost two of their last 19 games.
He said: “Well of course we hit the post and had other chances, but we were playing against a top opponent, so it would be fair to say that.
“But overall, I thought our players were amazing in their commitment to the game, sacrificed a lot for each other, worked for each other, showed great personality.
“So, we are happy with the clean sheet, happy with the point and we move forward.”
