FORMER Albion star Aaron Mooy has made a move to Scottish giants Celtic.
The midfielder joined the Seagulls in 2019 on a season-long loan deal from Huddersfield Town and impressed enough to earn a three-year contract at the Amex.
Albion fans will remember Mooy's stunning solo effort against AFC Bournemouth in which he controlled the ball in the box, beat his defender and then fired into the top corner of the goal.
Mooy's time at the club was cut short as he left the club to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG after the club activated his £4million release clause.
He spent two seasons in China, but has now made the move back to Europe and has joined Celtic, where he has been reunited with former manager Ange Postecoglou.
Upon completing the deal to the Glaswegian side, Mooy said: “It’s an amazing feeling and I’m just so happy to be here. It’s a massive club with a huge history, and I want to be part of it, so I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead.
“Ange was my coach for about three years in the national team so I know the standards he wants, and I’m looking forward to working with him again.”
Mooy has signed a two-year deal with Celtic after signing as a free-agent.
