Terry Graves is the man Kevin Keehan wants to be his No. 2 at Lewes.
Former Rooks striker Graves, who also played for Crawley, has been approached to become assistant manager at the Dripping Pan.
Graves, who is considering the offer, was No. 2 at Peacehaven when they were a force in Sussex football in the 1990s although he has been out of the game for a while.
He is the father of Horsham's Tom Graves who, together with team-mates Nigel Brake, Danny Davis and Matt Geard, have been linked with a summer switch to Lewes. Davis is a former Rooks player.
Keehan is playing his cards close to his chest about potential new signings. He does not want to name players until they have signed, although he has confirmed he has already spoken to a couple of the players released by Albion this week.
He said: "I will be talking to a lot of players in the next few weeks and I will also be talking to agents about players who have been released by their clubs.
"I have spoken to a couple released by Albion but it has got to be the right ones. I will talk to them again and see what they think.
"We need to find some experienced players and some of them have experience."
Keehan has spent the last week talking to the existing Lewes squad, most of whom are expected to leave.
Only four remain on contract for next season and two of them, Gary Holloway and Tom Davis, have been placed on the transfer list after making it clear they did not want to play for Lewes following the departure of former manager Steven King.
Davis cost Lewes £5,000 when they signed him from St Albans and the Rooks will be asking for a small fee for both players. The other two still on contract are Stefan Cox and top scorer Paul Booth, who Keehan is still trying to persuade to stay.
Skipper Steve Robinson, Andy Drury, Ian Simpemba and Jamie Cade are confirmed departures.

He should do the decent thing and give Lewes's promotion place to Hampton & Richmond who deserve the honour of going up with Eastbourne Borough.
Terry Graves No2?- out of the game for a while and has hit the dizzy heights of No2 at Peacehaven. For GOD SAKE WE ARE GOING INTO A PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE WITH A MANAGEMENT OF COUNTY LEAGUE QUALITY AND PROBABLY NOT MUCH BETTER PLAYING WISE You just couldn't make up what's gone on at this club. We should not be accepted into the Conference full stop, I'm afraid our club is a absolute disgrace and a complete laughing stock

I believe in standards in life, and Lewes in the past couple of weeks has fallen way below that. It's not a case of being a true supporter or not, it's if you can accept the way the club has behaved. And frankly with the way the club is going, with what looks like all mates together syndrome, and likely nepotism as well, I'd doubt whether I want to be a part of this club anymore
I wish everyone that has commented on Lewes and Steve Kings departure would stop living in the past and give Keehan a chance... How will you all feel next season if Lewes survive and end up mid-table.... you will all be singing his praises. I'm sure most of you have applied for the England managers jobs because you are all experts on the game after playing football manager simulation games non-stop for a month, whilst supposidly supporting "your club!!". Surely as supporters of Lewes you should all be looking to pastures new and looking forward to playing in the conference proper... maybe i should take back what i have just said as everyone commenting are experts on running football clubs, if so why don't you do it yourselves? If you don't like whats being done... dont go and watch Lewes next season.....that will show you are not a true supporter of Lewes Football Club but in fact a "part-time" supporter, someone who isnt there through thick and thin!!

And yes i am a lewes supporter
