Nick Buckfield picked up the man of the match award as he helped Crawley get off to a solid start in the British Athletics League.
Buckfield won the pole vault in his first competitive outing of the season and also picked up valuable points in the 200m and ran a leg of the 4x100m relay.
The 35-year-old had not competed for ten months and had only recently recovered from a back injury but still managed to clear 5.20m.
The British record holder was Crawley's only A string winner at Kingston and helped them to secure third place behind Leeds and the hosts in the National Three fixture.
Adam Walker completed a Crawley double in the pole vault by winning the B string with a clearance of 4.20m while Andy Turner enjoyed a good debut as he came second in the shot putt (13.11m) and third in the discus (38.85m).
Matt Furber and Josh Guilmant collected good points in the middle distance events with Furber coming third in the 800m (1min.55.93sec) and Guilmant third in the 1,500m (4min.2.62sec).
It proved a good day for Sussex clubs in the pole vault as Dave Ingram recorded a new personal best of 4.41m to help Brighton and Hove City to a third consecutive victory in the Southern Men's League.
Ingram also won the 110m hurdles in a personal best of 16.4sec while Jake Scanlon did the double with victory in the shot putt (10.72m) and discus (41.83).
The result keeps Brighton on course for an instant return to division one while Worthing and District Harriers improved their chances of promotion with a fine victory at Thurrock to climb to seventh place overall.
Dan Dunscombe won the high jump (1.90m) and also set a new personal best on his way to victory in the B string 110m hurdles while Matt Dumigan did the 800m (1min.59.6sec) and 1,500m (4min.10.3sec) double.
Hastings are still hovering just above the drop zone after they finished fourth in a tight match at Dartford, just a point and a half behind joint runners up Dartford and Ilford and seven points back from winners Luton.
