Santos Gaia is relishing one of the biggest weeks of Crawley’s season as they chase success on two fronts.
The 30-year-old Brazilian defender faces Wrexham at the Broadfield Stadium tonight knowing that victory will lift Reds above Dean Saunders’ side and to within three points of the play-offs.
Crawley then entertain Ebbsfleet for a place in the Setanta Shield area final on Thursday before Gaia’s old club Weymouth visit on Sunday.
Gaia had an outstanding debut in Saturday’s hard-earned 1-1 draw at Cambridge and declared: “We can definitely reach the play-offs.
“Wrexham are a big club but so were Cambridge and we deserved our draw there. The feeling among the squad is definitely that we can get into the play-offs and we are looking forward to every game.”
