Influential defender Jake Wright returned to the Crawley side for today's crucial clash against play-off rivals Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground.
Wright limped out of last Saturday's goalless draw with Rushden at half-time because of an ankle injury and missed Tuesday's Setanta Shield defeat to Ebbsfleet.
It was one of three changes to the team which lost that game 2-1 while Evans made five alterations to the side which played a week ago.
Santos Gaia and Jon Shaw were both on the bench as Chris Giles was preferred at rightback while Isaiah Rankin got only his third league start up front alongside Robbie Matthews and Glenn Wilson was again employed in a holding midfield role.
Former Premier League striker Matt Jansen made his home debut for the Dragons after scoring in the midweek win at Northwich, Wrexham's first win in eight starts.
