Shoreham clinch Vase win


Rob Boddy hit a late winner as Shoreham claimed a place in the third round of the FA Vase.

Boddy struck with four minutes remaining as the Musselmen came from behind to win 2-1 at Redhill.

Marcus Elliott gave the hosts a fifth-minute lead in a half they dominated but Shoreham levelled early in the second period through the excellent Owen Callaghan who also had a hand in the winner.

Shoreham are now away to Shortwood United while Arundel travel to Plymouth Parkway after a 4-0 win at home to Crowborough.

Scott Tipper scored twice with Howard Neighbour and Matt Axell also netting.

In County League division one, Darren Budd hit an 87th-minute winner as leaders Whitehawk won 1-0 away to reigning champions Eastbourne United.
