Midfielder Gary Dicker has urged Albion to get their season back on course with a professional FA Cup display.
The Seagulls host Rushden in the second round on Saturday as part of a hectic schedule which involves four tough League One games.
Albion go into the tie on the back of hefty defeats to impressive Leeds and Norwich sides.
Dicker said: “Hopefully it’s the best thing you can do to get back out there.
“But on the other hand it’s another game coming soon and we haven’t got time to prepare.
“The gaffer hasn’t had a full week’s training. It has been hard for him to squeeze in bits and bobs when we are playing all the time and trying to recover and get our energy levels back up.
“I can’t wait to get another game but we’d rather have taken three points from Norwich.
“It’s kind of a no-win situation against Rushden. If you win no one bats an eyelid but if you don’t they jump down your throat.
"We’ve just got to be professional. We need to do what we did against Wycombe, be professional and get through to the next round.”
Glenn Murray misses the tie through suspension while Nicky Forster could also be left out due to a knee injury.
