Albion boss Gus Poyet has not ruled out a late move into the loan market before the 5pm deadline for temporary transfers.
Poyet, speaking after training today, said: "There could be. We will see in the next few hours.
"The players I am looking to get are players you know and what they can give you.
"I am not bringing in someone to see for the first time or who I am not 100 per cent sure what he is going to give me."
Nicky Forster is back in the frame for Saturday's FA Cup tie at home to Rushden and Diamonds.
The club captain has recovered from the knee twinge which ruled him out of Tuesday's 4-1 defeat at Norwich.
Jim McNulty, sidelined since mid-October by a recurrence of ankle trouble, is also back in contention.
Poyet revealed: "I am going to make a few changes. It is going to be a different approach to a league game but that doesn't mean the team is going to be weakened."
