The Albion’s top scorer was first dropped for Saturday’s game against Leyton Orient after approaching Sky News to say he had been put on the transfer list following a row over his contract.

As a result, manager Gus Poyet has kept him out of the squad.

Is this a fair question? The question implies that Nicky Forster is refusing to play but is that the case or is Gus Poyet refusing to include him in the squad? If Forster is refusing to play then I could not support him in such action. If however he wants to play but is not being allowed to because he publicly asked for a transfer over what he obviously felt was unfair treatment then the matter should be considered in a different light. All true fans want an Albion win tonight and do not want these recent events to cast a shadow over those that represent us tonight. In this respect I feel the Argus question is divisive and does not help the parties to find a solution to the problem.

Can we have a third option that says since we don't know all the facts then we don't know? Only thing i'm clear about is that it's pretty stupid going to sky sports to try and sort it, but as usual there's been a lot of guessing going on.

We need to know the facts before we can give a straight yes or no answer and even then it is probably not the simple. Come on Argus - you can do better than this...

Perhaps the Argus should ask his agent for a comment. Players seem to talk to clubs via their agents, who in turn seem to "leak" stories to the media. A lot of agents have had a very quiet January transfer window, and probably need to stimulate interest for their own ends.

Very well put Jimmy Langley. The Press are the pits these days anything for sensationalism-one cannot believe what one reads.

Does the Argus consider itself to be a supporter of the club, because this sort of rubbish doesn't help anyone in this difficult mess. It just stirs things up. Sometimes, keeping quiet is the best thing to do, to allow things to settle down and get sorted out privately. Not great from a journalists point of view, but best for the club, and probably the player as well, as he is not looking too popular at the moment.

He's right to be annoyed about not getting a new offer. He should not have been made to wai this long and especially not after El Abd. Mr Forster has been amazin for us and we need him. But, he is a professional and a senior professional at that, so this should have been kept behind closed doors.

spot on. And if he reads this poll then we'll be even further from resolution by all concerned. Nice one argus!

He has done well out of the club and this is a poor behaviour by him. Climb down or clear off!

I can see both sides....he is playing well, and has helped us out no-end.

However, no player at Brighton is good enough at present to demand terms, especially at his age where even a couple weeks on the sidelines will take him longer to return to match sharpness.

i,d imagine all forster is asking for is a year contract.any other club would have tied there best players to contracts anyway.he may well be saying to the club that he wants to cement his near future by his actions.gus has refused to talk, which speaks volumes.ie he doesnt care wether he stays or goes.and he probably will now go.hypocrisy to offer el-abd a contract.i guess there is much unrest in the squad.WERE ALL DOOMED,as sgt fraser says.
